Giclée art print reproduction (unframed with no border): "Scorching Sun" is a mixed media collage created with spray-paints, alcohol inks, paper cut-outs and photos of buildings I took whilst I was living in Vancouver, Canada. This series was guided by the natural limits of analogue collage - working with what materials are on hand, the size of the images, the colours and texture of the paper. By combining the everyday urban landscape of Vancouver, and collages inherent ability to reinvent the familiar, something mysteriously new is created, an escape into an alternate urban landscape, familiar but distorted and reimagined.
